Our Team
We don’t do hierarchy here.
The Soul Empowerment Collective isn’t built on titles, it’s built on trust.
We’re a small, evolving circle of Black women and femmes who hold this work with care. Some of us lead creative tenderness workshops. Some of us hold quiet space. Some of us make sure the lights stay on behind the scenes.
What we share is a deep belief in emotional safety, softness, and honest connection.
We lead from presence, not position. And we are committed to doing this work in a way that honors our own healing too.
This team will continue to shift and change. That’s part of how we stay real.
Our Founder
Founder, Therapist, Advocate, Social Worker
Loren Alexander, MSW, ACSW
I’m Loren Alexander, founder of The Soul Empowerment Collective. I created this space for the Black women I know, because I am one of them. Tender, high-functioning, always carrying too much. Sensitive but expected to be strong. Deep-feeling, but rarely given room to fall apart without consequence.
This work started as a fight for my own accommodations during my graduate program, but it’s become something else. Something softer, deeper, and more honest. I’m no longer trying to prove that we deserve support. I’m building a space where we don’t have to.
I earned my Master’s in Social Work in 2025 and began clinical practice in 2024. I’m currently pursuing my LCSW while developing healing frameworks that center emotional integrity, relational repair, and soul-rooted care. My work blends therapy, creative restoration, and ancestral knowing, offering space for people like me to come home to themselves without shame.
I don’t lead from strategy. I lead from presence. And everything I build comes from that place.
Facilitators
(Emotional Support Guides)
We lead workshops, intensives, and emotional processing spaces rooted in tenderness, integrity, and care. Many of us are clinicians, educators, or creative practitioners, but most importantly, we’re people who show up with presence.
Clinical Team (Coming Soon)
Licensed and pre-licensed therapists who will offer individual and group healing sessions through a framework of emotional attunement and culturally grounded care.
Admin + Operations
The quiet force that keeps everything running. From scheduling and communications to tech and backend support, they make sure the container holds.
Interns + Volunteers
Students and community members supporting programming, outreach, emotional care, and back-end logistics. Whether helping hold space or helping hold structure, they’re essential to how we move.
